Information must be prioritised and presented in a visually engaging powerpoint presentation to their class group. Students may work in pairs on the proviso that both students are involved in the preparation and delivery of the task. Students will be required to print out a slide handout using the power point print options and hand in to their teacher. |

Taking Control Analysis Students will under go to competency checks conducted by their class teacher throughout the practical component of the course. Ongoing checks on role delivery will also occur as part of day to day practical lessons. Students will also sit a written test that requires them to analyse their role as a player and the official role they occupied in their team, and make a judgement on player enjoyment as a result of their efforts. The written test will occur in Week 8-9. This is a School Certificate Task. |
Ongoing / WEEK 8-9 |
Please note that these dates are only to be used as a guide. Individual teachers will assign exact dates for the submission of tasks and students should record the due date in their school diary
Practical Assessment of skills is competency based and occurs throughout the duration of each unit.
Students will be assessed on their technical skill in both practice and competition situations. They will also be graded on their knowledge of the rules, their ability to communicate effectively and work as a productive member of a team and class member.
Students are required to bring a change of sports gear for practical lessons. School uniforms do not allow freedom of movement and school shoes provide insufficient support during running and team games activities. While a grade is not formally awarded for uniform, staff are required to report on a students organisation skills in half yearly and yearly reports. All students are required to come fully equiped to both practical and theory lessons. Students registering THREE occasions of out-of-uniform will be issued with a letter of concern. This policy is to alert parents that their child is finding it difficult to organise themselves for school and may need some assitance!
