School Dances

These functions are held in the Bini usually once per term. They are organised by the Student Representative Council or the Senior Student Executive and are conducted under the auspices of the school rules. Attendance at school dances should be considered a privilege and not a right.

Profits from the school dances are used to support charities, student facilities and SRC initiatives.

Tickets are not sold at the door. Tickets can be purchased at recess and lunch near the canteen.
A signed parental permission note is required before a ticket will be sold. One note per ticket.
Parents must priovide a number on which they can be reached during the dance.

Dance Rules

  1. Only students enrolled at Hunter School of the Performing Arts may attend.
  2. Students who are on Whole School Monitoring and who have privileges withdrawn, or who do not have the permission of the Principal WILL NOT be permitted to attend.
  3. The doors will be open to receive students between 6.45 pm and 7.15 ONLY. Students arriving later should only do so with prior arrangement with the Deputy Principal and be accompanied to the door with a parent or caregiver.
  4. Whilst the School understands that it may be convenient for parents to drop their children at McDonalds, students are not permitted to loiter there.
  5. Any student wishing to leave early must be collected from the Bini door by a parent or caregiver.
  6. Any student who is found to under the influence of alcohol or who brings alcohol (or other prohibited substances) to the dance will be removed from the dance and have their parents contacted immediately to collect them. They will then be dealt with in accordance with the School's Disciplinary Policy.
  7. Rowdy behaviour during the dance will not be tolerated.
  8. Tickets are not transferable and can only be bought by the student for themselves. No multiple purchases.
  9. Students must dress suitably.
  10. Bags and coats are not permitted in the Bini and must be checked in at the Canteen window BEFORE entering the dance with your ticket.
